Caring Hands workers are supported by staff and each other.....

The Caring Hands' Workforce Development Project offers comprehensive job retention and support services to members. Bi-monthly Caring Hands meetings are held at the offices of Mujeres Unidas y Activas in San Francisco and Oakland.

These meetings are designed as a confidential and supportive space for peer assistance and guidance in resolving work-related problems.

For more personalized one-on-one support, Caring Hands staff provides individual consultations ranging from:

• Preparation of letters and other communication with employers
• Employer-employee conflict resolution support
• Resume development
• Encouraging Caring Hands workers to request employer referrals to build their own client base

The Caring Hands program aims to provide skills training and motivation to help uncover the inherent strength and potential in each member and provide the resources and encouragement she needs to create her own path to success.
